We operate minibuses under a “section 19” permit. This allows us to pick up participants at the school and drop them off after the expedition. Drivers of the minibuses always have D1 on their licence and a current MIDAS certificate. Safety is of course the first priority.

As well as the daily driver tests, each minibus undergoes a 10 weekly safety check at “M.Brittain” a commercial garage in York.

Use of the company vehicles avoids the need for each parent to drive out to the expedition area. This saves the parents time, money and helps to keep down the carbon footprint of each expedition.
